Call for Abstracts
Open to all women graduate students (PhD, MD, MA, MS) in STEM fields at Columbia University.
Abstract Submission Deadline: March 18, 2018
The WGRS organizational committee welcomes your abstracts for oral presentation and scientific posters at the 2nd Annual WISC Graduate Research Symposium. All abstracts must be submitted online.
Oral presentations provide authors the opportunity to present original work related to conference topics. Oral paper presentations will have 15-minute time slots that will include a 12-minute individual presentation and 3 minutes for questions from the audience. The Symposium is multi-disciplinary and, therefore, all oral presentations should be accessible to a broader audience.
The poster session will provide an interactive forum for authors to discuss their work.
- Presenters will be assigned locations to put up their posters, which will be organized by topic.
- Poster boards and pushpins will be supplied, and posters should be attached to the boards for display.
- Poster size should be no larger than 48″ W x 36″ H.
- Presenters are encouraged to bring 1-page double-sided handouts to accompany their posters.
