WISC Undergraduate Mentoring Program
Our program facilitates one-on-one mentorship relationships between
undergraduates and graduate students in STEM, with the goal of helping
undergraduates learn that a career in STEM is within their reach!
Program mission
Our program facilitates one-on-one mentorship relationships between undergraduates and graduate students in STEM, with the goal of helping undergraduates learn that a career in STEM is within their reach! Through creating opportunities for undergraduates to have casual interactions with STEM grad students and connecting students with ongoing research opportunities in their fields, we hope to help demystify academia and scientific careers in general.
We also host events each year to help undergraduates learn more about the STEM graduate school experience. Past events include a “Grad School Q&A with STEM PhD Students” and “Grad School Funding Q&A with STEM PhD students: Fellowships, TAships, and Scholarships.” Our events are always open to students of all gender identities!
